Scorpions - Love At First Sting Live Studio Rehearsal (1983)

there are few models and give the big bands of the 80 whether called "Judas Priest, Iron Maiden" "WASP", "Ozzy Osbourne", "Accept" or "Scorpions" ... our guests today .... It is a gem and as such should be treated as a collector's item for any lover of this band and their analogues those years. Trials are studying the pre-production of the record of 1984 of these Germans, "Love At The First Sting" I doubt the disclosure has been massive over the years. Here we go ... After the tour of "Blackout Tour 82/83", Mr. Klaus Meine, Rudolf Schenker and Matthias Jabs, Francis Buchholz decide Rarabell and Herman were not at the level they had, so they decide, remove the band, yes sir ... as you read these two weoncitos had their "PLR" (read "foot in the ass" to his friends overseas that are) not to be at or no balls to show what came .... And do not even come to imagine where her next album!. In the pre-production on his new album called Jimmy Bain on bass and Bobby Rondinelli on drums and get to work, work that began without knowing whether the output of the two types would be permanent or temporary, but not could not wait to record their new album ... I guess it will be a secret between these five guys the real motives of the reasons for departure and return of the two boys ... I good that after a while, to show to other friends and especially to himself, which was free of drugs and forelock, and would be able to continue in this ... Herman Rarabell is received back in the band. It was almost impossible not to think of Francis, the band realizes that they are not the same with someone else in the lower than Francis Buchholz ... As extra information, as well as Jimmy Bain Neil Murray was also called at any time to supply the low recording. Following in the footsteps of Herman would not delay the arrival back to the band of his friend Francis again ... again have a classical training putting the finishing touches to this album and subsequent tour that definitely catapult a world-class heavy metal. Almost 40 minutes where the band gives a "pasadita" live the album they were recording, surely they were all in the same room looking at each other ... The voices of Maine are not as strong as we would like this record probably reached the hands of fans through a cassette, giving even more value it deserves. There are marked differences touch upon the issues, compared to what we would hear later in the final result .... I do not mean in the arrangement if it matters, if not quite the felling that existed at that time in recording room. Clearly the playing of Jimi Bain, a style that led him to be part of the band's "Duende Maldito" (Ronnie James Dio), we can notice in 3 ½ minutes of "Big City Night" like the drum beat in Rondinelli the theme "Coming Home." In contrast with the end result of the disc we all know, in this "gem" can not find the item "As Soon As The Good Times Roll," a low profile temita disk itself, which talks about how to get both adelnte personal, economic, with your friends and sentimental ... time has been commissioned to be one of the favorite hot springs in my collection, this item was replaced by another name "Pretty At Nite" an unfinished instrumental piece that could well have been in the final recordings ...
As I said above, a gem for lovers of the "Scorpions" ... if necessary, put on your best suit and sit down, close your eyes and imagine being in the recording room in '83 ... just amazing !!!!... Aaaah, and do not forget your cold beer ...

Especial Nipón Metal - Ezo – Fire Fire (1989)

... It was a dedicated short week Japanese bands, not new!, if not to let roots for what would come later, they were many in the pipeline, perhaps there will be a new release later, I hope there anything served to make known these bands and these names .. now the work is of you, in looking over what started back almost to the late '70s in such distant lands such as Japan .... Until next time!

Special Nippon Metal - Ezo - Fire Fire (1989)

"Loudness" was the biggest band of land Nipponese exported in the 80s, there's no doubt but "EZO" not be left behind, the criticism towards them was his exaggerated Kabuki makeup mascara to divert attention to the purely musical, but his brand of melodic metal to the "Scorpions" with a touch of the "Kigdom Come" and "Great White" was more than satisfactory Roqueros the ears of those years. Originally known by the name "Flatback" ... as a vocalist Masaki Yamada, Shoyo Iida on guitar, Taro Takahashi Hiro Homma on bass and drums to give life to two albums under that name, "Senso" in '85 and disk "That" one year later. Decide to move to the United States and with it came the change the current name "EZO" what I take to be in the eyes of "KISS" Gene Simmons specifically for your new label. His duty as "EZO" was not as auspicious, not selling very well and only peaking at 150 in the Billboard charts, nor be opening for "Guns And Roses" in its heyday served to take the band to a better place . In the '89 reach their album "Fire Fire", a very good album, but was not commercially fruits, which leads them to stop the activities and disappear from the media. In the '90s

Yamada and Homma join their compatriots in loudness to a renewed version of this band until a meeting with the original members of "Loudness" leads to the dismissal of these two, so they decide to give life to a new band, "Snake Bites." "Ezo" may have failed in the U.S. market and not achieve the dream that both wanted a band of those years, but left no doubt open doors for many Japanese bands with their incredible musical legacy ...

Special Nippon Metal - Hurry SCUARY - Break It Up (1988)

"Hurry SCUARY is formed back in '83 in Osaka City, after their guitarist left Hideaki Nakama his former band, "Anthem." His training would take place when your having just had created two little songs, which earned them be part of the "Battle Of Metal, a compilation album of bands emerging in the country of the rising sun in which bands were" Marine " Sexual "and" Slices. " At that time the band consisted of 5 members, which led them after A couple of years in the final to follow the pattern of those times with 4 members only. These "yellow" metal is soaked in the West at that time, managing to be considered the main candidate to occupy a privileged place in the Japanese metal scene these days, even having released a single disc on the market. A very good rock band, led by Nakama, the main figure, has come to edit solo albums at the time. This is an album of '88, full of melodies, pachanga say I stand for the songs "Reaching For The Sun" and "Run For Your Life", not to mention the participation of Paul Raymond on keyboards, if the same which replaced Danni Peyronel in UFO back in '76, and right hand in the compositions of Michael Schenker solo ....

Especial Nipón Metal - Grand Prix - Treasure Hunting (1989)

... There were many Americans who are tempted to be part of bands Nippon examples there are many ... Graham Bonett, Mike Calves, Neil Murray to name a few. It is a country full of cultural contrasts and Heavy Metal could not be unaware of it, but it turned out to ancestral constumbres hair gave way to boluptuosas, tight pants, pads Caquetá, etc ... crazy that would take over the youth of those years, their examples are the classic live albums recorded in that country ... a button that will later insurance. .. Now I ejo with the third installment of this special Nipon ...

Special Nippon Metal - Grand Prix - Treasure Hunting (1989)

Nobou Yamada is an authority on land Nipponese with what the Rock is concerned, and this is one of many bands where to put his name. The band was born in September of '88 between Nobou Yamada and his "friend" Yohgo Kono. This friendship between these two "yellow" came from the beginning of the '80s, among them the '84 when Yohgo chose him as their special guest vocalist, as Nobou Yamada was the leader of a band called "Make-Up", as it would eventually come to occupy the vocal for good in "Grand Prix". His debut would come in '85 with the album "Tears & Soul." A shame the disillusionment that took place in '92 in which he demonstrated a capacity crowd at the "Osaka AM Hall" because they are the band of AOR in Japan, walking around issues of "Grand Prix" and "Make-Up" his former band, where we find many similarities in their sound, but certainly the name of Yamada Nobou reach the top by being part of "Grand Prix" as it rises to the level earned in those years, wonderful melodies, keyboard ochenteno Aor typical, soft and vibrant vocals, solos and a voice clean masterly, a great band!.
